SSSCCRRL uses British Cycling’s Master categories to determine which class you will be entered in.
Vet40 consists of Master C (40-44) and Master D (45-49).
Vet50 – Master E (50-54) and Master F (55-59)
Vet60+ – Master G (60-64) and all susbequent categories.
BC uses your year of birth to determine your age cat. A rider who turns 40 (45, 50 etc) in any given year will be treated as being 40 (45, 50 etc) for the whole of that year. This means that if you birthday is late in the year you may compete for all, or almost all, of a season aged 39 (44, 49 etc) whilst still being classed as 40 (45, 50 etc).
